Eldersburg, Maryland-July 24, 2007- In the month of July, America’s Remote Help Desk (ARHD) announced the official release of STRONGHOLD. This revolutionary new service provides everything a company needs for their corporate infrastructure. All servers, appliances, firewalls, anti-virus programs, etc. are provided with STRONGHOLD.
STRONGHOLD provides all the tools necessary to completely support an office environment. Corporate data is hosted on powerful, clustered servers which are located in a secure data center supplied with power, environmental and Internet redundancy. All maintenance including backups, updates, network security, anti-virus, anti-spam, maintenance updates, alerts and patches are included.
Hosted servers have become relatively commonplace in recent years with companies renting space on a server and accessing it through secure VPN connections. The biggest complaints with these products are the speed of access and lack of redundancy. STRONGHOLD is the first of a new generation of HISP products and uses data replication technology to solve both of these problems by delivering faster performance than conventional networks and providing complete data, hardware and connectivity redundancy.
With STRONGHOLD, data on a network will be accessible from any location with a Virtual Private Network (VPN) or another form of remote access. Unlike other HISP products, data stored in StrongHold is replicated and stored in both the corporate office and in the data center simultaneously to provide failsafe redundancy. This allows the data to be accessed from anywhere at anytime regardless of if the corporate office or the data center is down.
STRONGHOLD has passed both the prototype and pilot program stages and is currently being implemented at several corporate sites in the Baltimore and DC area. By the end of the summer, ARHD anticipates hosting 10 companies with their new program. “We have had a very positive response to STRONGHOLD from many smaller companies.
